ABOUT THE HOSTS:

The Hellenic Canadian Federation of BC Charitable, Cultural, & Educational Foundation proudly raises funds to:

  • To give and award bursaries to needy high school and post-secondary students in BC

  • To award scholarships based on merit, to post- secondary students in BC

  • To provide grants in aid of Canadian teaching and research institutions

  • To establish educational programs, activities or projects related to the advancement of Hellenic Studies including Greek language, literature, history, and culture.

  • To raise funds which will be used for the purpose of assisting poor and needy Canadians, and by establishing services for providing information on social, economic, and legal matters.
     

The partner organization, the Hellenic Canadian Congress of BC is an organization that fosters education, communication, and cooperation between Hellenic Canadians and other ethnic groups, and promotes the development of just and equitable policies and legislation concerning all citizens. The Congress encourages and promotes the retention and development of Hellenism in British Columbia within the multicultural context of Canada.

As hosts of the annual Greek Heritage Month in June, the Hellenic Canadian Congress of BC proudly showcases many events during the month of June, including educational and cultural events, with the finale event Greek Day on Broadway hosted on the last Sunday of June.
